Why I made it

I created Handshake to Home as a personal anniversary gift inspired by personal memories. I wanted to turn that inspiration into a complete interactive game through playable scenes, custom storytelling, and game direction rather than a static keepsake.

What I built

  • Five playable chapters with scene-based progression
  • Walking, jumping, and platforming movement
  • Dialogue, interactions, collectibles, and interactive objectives
  • Pixel-art environments and a custom ending sequence
  • Custom story and game direction developed with AI-assisted support

Notes & evolution

The game is structured across five playable chapters, combining platforming, dialogue, collectibles, interactive objectives, and scene-based progression. Built as a browser-based 2D pixel game in JavaScript, the project combines custom storytelling, game direction, and AI-assisted development into a complete playable experience.
