- Live / actively evolving

Why I made it
My mom was building Marisa Botanicals from the ground up, and I wanted to give her something more useful than a basic brochure website. I built a bilingual system around the way she actually works, so the site could showcase her products while also giving her simple tools for managing the business behind the scenes. The goal was to make technology feel useful and accessible, not like another thing she had to learn around.
What I built
- A bilingual English/Spanish customer and product experience
- Custom brand website navigation with language switching
- A Supabase-backed product catalog for updating and managing products
- An AI business partner for business questions and answers
- A simple orders and inquiries dashboard for day-to-day business management
Built with
HTML, CSS & JavaScript · Supabase · Vercel · OpenAI API · AI-assisted development
Notes & evolution
Marisa Botanicals started as a website project and grew into a broader small-business system. The public side includes a bilingual product catalog, while the internal side supports inquiries, orders, and business information. I also added a custom AI business partner so my mom could ask questions about the business in natural language instead of digging through systems manually. The project is intentionally shaped around one real business and one real user rather than around generic ecommerce conventions.
